As a System analyst, I consult with management and help develop/configure software to meet business needs. Daily tasks involve providing accurate quality analysis of applications, as well as conduct testing, locating and solving potential problems in an efficient manner, outlining processes and mapping workflows or Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).

Server resource monitoring and management is a must for ensuring a stable server environment. I often use industry-standard tools, such as SQLDM, MS Perfmon, and/or written PowerShell scripts to review performance, reducing time spent troubleshooting or optimizing performance, as well as working with other team members such as DBAs and IT Infrastructure.

As a trainer, my responsibilities have included informing management of training needs, managing, designing, developing, coordinating, and conducting training for teams and individuals. Samples of documentation and training materials including an end-user survey are below.

The documents below highlight key steps in the SDLC of projects that I’ve had involvement with,  as well Change Advisory Board request for change (RFC) projects. In-house efforts often involve working across the aisles with teams and project managers, business analysts, vendors, etc., to ensure project activities are properly executed and controlled.

I’ve worked on a number of projects that involve the process of loading data from a source system to the data system of vendors or in-house departments. The samples include custom SQL coded scripts as SQL automated jobs and documentation of the SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) process, including diagrams of the workflows.

Just one of the many aspects of being an analyst that I enjoy is being creative with an occasional request for reporting and analysis data or solutions to answer business questions and supporting application functionality. The scripted T-SQL examples below highlight my creativity with scripting as a specialized skill.
